Rising from the ashes of the Force India squad in the midst of a turbulent 2018 season, 2019 saw Racing Point embark upon on its first full season in Formula 1, recording 73 points from 21 races spanning five continents.
Ahead of Formula 1’s landmark 70th season in 2020, the team was delighted to announce an expansion of its long-standing partnership with Austrian water technology specialist, Best Water Technology [BWT].
Building upon three successful seasons as a Principal Sponsor, BWT has strengthened its ties with the team to become Title Partner, with the Silverstone-based outfit to become BWT Racing Point F1 Team for the 2020 season.
Turning heads since 2017, Racing Point’s pink livery has emerged as one of the most recognisable in Formula 1 and a firm favourite amongst racing fans across the globe – and this distinctive look will remain for 2020, with BWT branding featuring even more prominently on the team’s new car, the RP20.
BWT has long been committed to the reduction of plastics through the adoption of reusable vessels and recyclable filters to reduce waste and pollution in the modern world.
With this objective more sharply in focus than ever before, BWT will continue to support the team in its push to achieve sustainability targets, including cutting down on single-use plastics.
Draft BWT Magnesium Mineralized water will be served in various flavours from the team’s trackside hospitality buildings with paddock visitors and media encouraged to refill their reusable bottles with BWT water.
With racing talents Lance Stroll and Sergio Perez continuing behind the wheel for a second consecutive season, BWT Racing Point F1 Team heads into the 2020 season aiming to push further up the grid from the moment the lights go out on March 15 in Melbourne Australia.
