Sustainable luggage brand to become Official Supplier

A New Style for a New Season

As the season kicks off, BWT Racing Point F1 Team announces today a partnership with Paravel as the team’s new luggage partner. Known for their responsible approach to product design, Paravel have challenged themselves to become the first fully sustainable travel brand by 2021.

Under the partnership, Racing Point team members have been provided with sustainably made luggage and travel accessories ahead of this week’s Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne, Australia. Paravel’s influence will also filter down to Paddock Club with team guests receiving special edition items from the brand.

A Commitment to Sustainability

The partnership serves to underscore Racing Point and F1’s commitment to sustainability. Working in close collaboration with title partner BWT, the team is en route towards becoming more sustainable, and reducing its reliance on single-use plastics.

To date the company has repurposed 1.3 million plastic water bottles through its recycled materials initiative. These recycled bottles have been repurposed by Paravel to create luggage that not only sets new standards in the industry but also reduces post-consumer waste destined for landfills.

A Few Words

Otmar Szafnauer, CEO & Team Principal, BWT Racing Point F1 Team:

“Paravel is leading the charge in sustainability for the travel luggage industry. They combine cutting-edge design with sustainability in every aspect of their operations – values which very much match those of the team and our Title Partner, BWT. Collaborations like these are a strong statement of intent in terms of how we see the future of our team and our sport – and we’re proud to have Paravel on board to help us deliver on that intent.”

Andy Krantz, co-Founder and co-CEO, Paravel

“When we were approached with this partnership, we were thrilled to learn about the many sustainable initiatives in place by the team and F1 as a whole. With the introduction of more fuel efficient cars and commitment towards reducing use of plastics, they are taking meaningful steps towards becoming more environmentally responsible and we’re happy to support and work with them on this journey.”
