1. Lance’s Hockenheim Haul

The German Grand Prix is a shoo-in for this, with the 67-lap affair at the Hockenheimring not only marking one of the best battles of the 2019 season – but arguably one of the best races of the past decade.

In changeable conditions, a calm approach to racing will usually pay dividends – and with a calculated five-stop strategy [yes, five!] the team certainly showcased that trait to keep Lance in the hunt for a strong result.

While the weather-induced chaos caught out even some of the most experienced drivers, Lance kept his head to secure our best result of the season in P4 – missing out on the podium by less than a second in a late duel for silverware.

This result was a testament to the hard work that each and every member of the team put in week in, week out over the first half of the season.

It’s results like this that make the journey even more special!

2. Checo Masters Mexico

Home races always mean that little bit more to a driver – and heading to the Mexican Grand Prix, it was clear that Checo was pumped up to tackle the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez with even more determination than usual.

Our local hero definitely made his home advantage count when he took to the track on Sunday, delivering nail-biting, wheel-to-wheel action from start to finish, with breathtaking battles against both Toro Rosso drivers and Renault’s Daniel Ricciardo.

Fending off Ricciardo despite having older tyres, Checo secured a memorable P7 finish – not only taking the chequered flag as the best of the rest behind the top three teams but also recording his 100th points finish in F1!

3. Double Points Bagged in Baku

After a competitive opening to the season – with top 10 performances in Australia, Bahrain and China – we arrived in Azerbaijan hoping to build upon that strong start at a circuit that’s been kind to us in its short history to date.

With Checo taking P6 and Lance P9 at the chequered flag, we secured our first double points finish of the season – something that would be repeated on a further two occasions in Belgium and Japan.

In what was a fiercely contested race throughout the field – and even saw us take the fight to Red Bull Racing over the opening stages – the Azerbaijan Grand Prix once again left us with some great memories!

4. Checo Saves the Best ‘Till Last

After what had already been a spectacular end to the year for our Mexican maestro, Checo saved his very best until last at the season finale in Abu Dhabi – and when we say last, we mean it!

After an impressive 37-lap stint on the Hard compound tyre, Checo was in the hunt for P7 in the closing stages at the Yas Marina Circuit. And with calculated racecraft to back up a superb strategy call, he quickly fought his way through the pack.

Holding P8 with only a handful of laps remaining, Checo dug in deep as he took the fight to McLaren’s Lando Norris – overtaking the Briton with a brave move around the outside of Turn 11 on the very last lap of the season.

With Checo describing this as one of the greatest overtakes of his career, it comes as no surprise that this is one of our highlights of 2019!

5. Super Saturday in Monza

With a raft of upgrades applied from the German Grand Prix onwards, our pace in Italy showed that the continual refinement of the RP19 was paying off.

At no race was that more evident than at Monza, as both Lance and Checo secured a place in Q3, demonstrating of the underlying pace in the car.

The top ten qualifying result also saw Lance maintain his 100% top-10 starting record at the Temple of Speed.
