    We have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer in the role of Aero R&D Design Engineer within the Aero R&D department.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the mechanical design and development of Aero R&D projects, this role encompasses mechanical and R&D requirements of the Wind Tunnel Model, full-size Aero Testing Equipment and Test Rigs. This is a varied and creative role where new ideas and technologies are key to improving performance.

    Reporting to the Lead Engineer you will generate ideas, schemes, designs and developments for the wind tunnel model to improve the performance and efficiency of our wind tunnel test programme and to improve the performance of other associated projects.

    Primary Responsibilities

    - To provide design schemes from concept stage to component design, assemblies and detail drawings.

    - To mechanically engineer designs and problem solve issues arising from Aero R&D projects.

    - To design tooling and fixtures required to test and validate designs.

    - To propose and manage new projects and developments where possible and relevant.

    - Define component and assembly test specifications.

    - To provide follow up support on these projects during assembly and testing and development.

    - To communicate effectively with other departments.

    - To work proactively, responsibly, and professionally.

    Skills & Knowledge Required

    - Educated to degree level or equivalent in an engineering discipline.

    - Previous experience of working in a mechanical design role is expected, preferably in a motorsport environment.

    - Excellent working knowledge of Parametric 3D CAD modelling is expected, preferably Catia 3DX.

    - Proven ability to create engineering drawings to industry standard BS8888.

    - Good understanding of design for manufacture.

    - Good understanding of mechanical engineering first principles and hand calculations.

    - An understanding of fundamental stress analysis (FE) and material properties.

    - Experience of validating designs through physical testing is desirable.

    - Ability to demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.

    - Ability to calmly and confidently work under pressure to achieve targets and deliver results within required timescales.

    - To have a flexible attitude and ability to work as part of a team in a demanding and changing environment.

    - Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of, and commitment to, Health & Safety.

    Location

    The role will be based at the Silverstone Factory.

    Hours

    Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.30pm 1 hour for lunch.

    Additional hours may be required as work dictates.

    Primary Responsibilities

    - To build and develop a pipeline of prospective partner leads.

    We have opportunities to be part of the Composite Manufacturing team in the role of Composite Production Engineer.

    The role would suit an experienced candidate with a comprehensive background in composite manufacturing within a top-level motorsport environment. The purpose of the role is to work alongside both Composite Design and Composite Manufacturing departments to aid continuous improvement of processes, contributing to improving quality and reducing lead time within Composite Laminating, Trim Shop and Pattern Shop.

    The Successful candidate must have the following attributes:

    - Extensive composite manufacturing experience, within laminating, trimming/assembly.

    - A solid understanding of composite materials and their properties.

    - CNC Composite Machining knowledge would be an advantage.

    - Be able to interpret engineering drawings, layup and build manuals.

    - CAD experience, ideally Catia to a level that will support model interrogation and a small amount of physical modelling.

    - A methodical approach with an appetite for problem solving.

    - Excellent organisation skills, capable of multi tasking and prioritising workload to achieve demanding targets.

    - Technical communication skills in order to produce presentations, procedure, reports and work instructions.

    - Experience of Virtek laser ply projection methodology and kit cutting template preparation.

    The key responsibilities of this role are:

    - To work alongside Composite Manufacturing departments to ensure process is efficient and achievable, whilst pushing the boundaries of material and technologies.

    - Develop the capabilities of the Composite Manufacturing department, putting the team at the cutting edge of manufacture whilst minimizing scrap, wastage and quality defects.

    - Produce standard operating procedures and manufacturing documentation in order to control manufacture and traceability of parts.

    - Provide the kit cutting department with data required in order to nest and cut kits for composite components, developing utilisation of this technology and driving improvement.

    - Provide laminating department with data required in order to make use of laser projection hardware during laminating process, developing utilisation of this technology and driving improvement.

    - Be the main source of communication between shopfloor and design in both directions in order to ensure manufacture of parts is achievable and carried out as per design intent.

    - Collaborate with design in order to develop design for manufacture.

    - Feed back manufacturing issues and improvements to design, ensuring changes to drawings and laminate manuals are recorded to reflect manufacturing process.

    - Minimise composite resource wastage – including time and materials.

    - To supply training to colleagues as and when required.

    - To monitor and prioritise own workload to scheduled dates and to feedback any issues that may affect delivery as soon as possible.

    The role will be based at the Silverstone Factory however there may be a requirement to travel as and when requested to meet the requirements of the Company.

  • Facility Maintenance Engineer

    We have a new opportunity to be part of the Facilities team in the role of Facility Maintenance Engineer.

    In this role you will be required to:

    - Respond to breakdowns and fault diagnosis – get kit back online.

    - Use root cause analysis to correct and prevent future failure for the following systems - BMS (Schneider), ASHP & AHU (Daikin), Fan Coil Units, Pumps (Grundfos), Motors, Valves, Chilled Beam.

    - Ensure TPM and PPM systems are correct and up to date.

    - Carry out planned scheduled maintenance and servicing, ensuring the CAFM system is up to date.

    - Develop and identify key spare parts inventory to help reduce machine downtime Manage spares and service budgets.

    Key skills:

    - Possess an excellent working knowledge of BMS (Schneider), ASHP & AHU (Daikin), Fan Coil Units, Pumps (Grundfos), Motors, Valves, Chilled Beam

    - 18th Edition, including installing electrical containment

    - Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems.

    - Previous experience as BMS and maintenance engineer

    Purpose

    Primary Responsibilities

    - To operate the best Financial Operations team in Formula One

    We have an exciting new opportunity to be part of the Model Manufacturing team as Model Logistics & Planning Coordinator

    The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience of planning and logistics in a high-level motorsport environment, have a good attention to detail, work calmly and accurately under pressure, work positively and enthusiastically in a small team, and have a flexible attitude to helping fulfil the requirements of the department and team as a whole.

    Working day shift in the Model Manufacturing Team, the role will primarily be focused on managing the logistics of the key requirements of ADM, Modelshop, Model Build and wind tunnel programmes. Whilst also being responsible for the coordination, planning and storage of Model Manufacturing components.

    As we move into our new wind tunnel facility, this role will expand into ensuring production through the team flows smoothly and efficiently through the model departments and into the wider team.

    The Successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

    - Analyse projects and their component quantities for upcoming WT tests, ensuring correct components are available when required through meetings, liaising with other departments and managing a robust system of storage and traceability of parts.

    - Be competent in identifying potential shortages of parts or concerns of part quality and raising these issues with the Model Operations Manager and ADM Manager.

    - Be responsible for the packaging and dispatch of components to multiple locations and departments, as well as the incoming components from multiple locations, departments, and suppliers.

    - Proactively continue to develop projects within the remit of part traceability, storage, and logistics.

    - Provide senior leadership with a series of reports including Model Manufacturing production data, wind tunnel utilisation of components and other KPi data. Production planning from design releases into ERP system, ensuring tight timelines are met.

    - Working with Supply Chain on make vs buy decisions.

    - Organise multi-stage parts such as annealing, coating, anodising, heat treat, metal coating for ADM and inhouse finishing for DMLS (Machine Shop) and SLA/SLS (ADM).

    - Project planning with Model teams on delivery of large manufacturing projects.

    - Attend and proactively participate in meetings as required.

    - Meet the requirements and demands of the busy periods.

    As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Formula 1 cars.     Key Responsibilities

    We have a new opportunity to be part of the Performance Development and Simulation team in the role of Simulator Test Engineer.

    Suited to someone with experience in high-level motorsport and with an interest in being on the front line of Aston Martin's current and future car development, using a state-of-the-art Driver In the Loop Simulator (DILSim).

    The role is centred around the management of DILSim sessions and analysis of test items for the purpose of car development, pre-event preparation and driver training.

    The position will involve close cooperation with Race Engineering, Performance Simulation, Performance Software, Aerodynamic and Tyre Performance groups.

    It's the role of the Simulator Test Engineer to:

    - Create and execute efficient simulator run programs.

    - Coordinate the driver(s) activities.

    - Schedule test items according to priority and Race event calendar.

    - Prepare the car setups/configurations and liaise with the relevant technical groups to ensure testing requirements are met.

    - Report the findings post-session to the technical group in a clear, time-relevant manner.

    - Contribute to the DILSim program between sessions with analysis tool development and productivity improvements.

    A successful candidate will possess the following skills, qualifications & experience:

    - Trackside race/performance engineering, including driver interaction.

    - An excellent degree in Engineering, Physics or Data Science related discipline.

    The responsibilities of the role are:

    - Management: Lead and supervise a team of soft services suppliers (all subcontracted), including cleaning, security, grounds, waste and pest, ensuring effective performance, training, and development.

    - Operational Excellence: Drive operational excellence by implementing best practices, quality standards, and efficient processes to enhance service delivery.
